TikTok Embarks On Its First Music Festival, ‘In the Mix’
TikTok is making its foray into the live music scene with the launch of In the Mix, an upcoming music festival set to take place in Mesa, Arizona. The festival is for all ages and will feature artists like Niall Horan, Cardi B, Anitta, and Charlie Puth.
Complementing these established stars, TikTok’s emerging artist program, TikTok Elevate, will provide a platform for emerging talent. Performers from this program, including Isabel LaRosa, LU KALA, Sam Barber, and Kaliii, will be part of the festival.
TikTok has since become a launching pad for smaller artists, giving budding musicians a worldwide platform. On top of that, more established artists have also taken to the social media site to promote their songs in the hopes that they would go viral as part of a trend.
In the Mix also aims to infuse TikTok’s culture and trends into the event’s activities. The festival seeks to capture the spirit of TikTok’s ‘For You’ feed, promising an engaging experience for both the on-site and online audience.
For those unable to attend in person, TikTok LIVE will offer a live stream of the entire event, allowing fans to enjoy the performances and festivities remotely.
The festival is scheduled for December 10, and tickets will be available for purchase starting December 2, with prices ranging from US$25 to US$60. TikTok’s collaboration with Billboard to create its music chart highlights its growing influence in the music world.
From the looks of it, In the Mix seems to be a unique intersection of music, social media, and culture, bringing various elements together onto a festival stage.
