Motorola is dialing up on color with its latest launch with PANTONE, celebrating the 2024 Color of the Year, Peach Fuzz. The tie-in integrates this cozy, tender hue into the Lenovo-owned phone maker’s tech offerings, with an emphasis on building warm moments and connections.
This velvety, gentle peach shade encapsulates feelings of community, togetherness, and collaboration, which the brands note fit perfectly with Motorola’s mission of enhancing human connections through accessible technology. Both devices center on fostering connection and personality, featuring Motorola’s innovative software like Moto Unplugged and Family Space. These apps underscore the importance of balancing closeness with mindfulness and security, tailored for both individual and familial technological exploration.
The lineup illustrates how color can deepen our interaction with technology and enhance user experience. “As technology becomes intertwined with humanity, we trust color to provide a tool for expression and deeper, more meaningful experiences with our devices. This includes going beyond devices and into the software itself,” shares Ruben Castano, head of customer experience and designs at Motorola. “The PANTONE Color of the Year 2024 does just that as it blends the virtual world we live in and our desire to establish deeper connections and well-being.”
Meanwhile, Laurie Pressman, vice president of the PANTONE Color Institute, highlights Peach Fuzz’s ability to bridge the virtual and real. “This year’s color carries particular importance to harnessing connection, community, and personal wellbeing,” Pressman details. “[Peach Fuzz] seamlessly blends the virtual and real life, making it an ideal color for the physicality of digital devices. We are excited to see how our audiences leverage the features Motorola offers to enable and facilitate further connections.”
