A curious DIY door paint job has left social media users befuddled as to why someone would work hours to achieve its look.
Twitter users have been sharing before-and-after images of a repainted door by blogger Tiffany Mitchell, which depict it appearing robin’s egg blue initially. In the latter photo, the door looks as if its paint was simply removed.
Shut the front door, cry social media users. “Instagram Influencers trying to DIY their homes is my new favorite s**t,” one Twitter user writes.
“Please tell me they mixed up the before and after,” one remarks. “It’s like a reverse Fixer Upper,” another jokes.
The image of the door with the wooden finish is, indeed, the after shot. Mitchell explains that it underwent “10 paint coats” before being sanded down to reveal its original form. “Look at how beautiful [it is],” she exclaims.
