Heinz has been playing around with its products and packaging in ways you’ll undoubtedly relish, including a ‘Mayochup’ variation that combines mayonnaise and ketchup, as well as a bizarre bottle design inspired by Ed Sheeran’s decorative tattoo sleeve. There’s even an official Heinz tomato sauce-flavored ice cream and ‘Crème Egg’ mayonnaise.
You’ve likely seen those plastic bottles with the lid side down that ensure you squeeze out ketchup more easily, but what do packaging purists who enjoy the silhouette of a glass bottle get? Heinz Canada has heard your prayers, and has turned its labels into visual aids that help you easily pour ketchup onto your food.
With the help of the tilted stickers, ketchup lovers can seamlessly get the sauce to flow out of bottles when the labels are shown to be standing upright. The new position guides customers to hold the bottles at 45 degrees, the ideal angle to pour ketchup.
The idea was conceptualized with the help of independent creative agency Rethink Canada, and seeks to answer many pleas like the one below:
