Facebook’s filters have flagged an Apple Power Mac G4 owner’s ad for appearing too raunchy when they put up the machine for sale on the social network.
According to Cult of Mac, Facebook censored the G4 for including “overtly sexual content.”
First launched in 1999, the Power Mac G4 was the first of its kind to be manufactured with glossy plastic. The material gave a modern look to it as compared to other computers, which were bulky and sported a dull beige. Judging by Facebook’s move, it probably remains to be Apple’s sexiest Mac yet.
The owner joked on the MacRumors forum that Facebook’s AI “is losing its cool” for his “G4 MDD’s sexy curves.”
No one is sure why Facebook’s algorithm recognized the machine for being sexually provocative, but its owner is now having second thoughts about selling the G4.
