Tesla’s Cybertruck won’t go into production until 2020, and if you’re looking to save some moolah, your dream car is here. Or not.
The guys from Russian YouTube channel Pushka Garazh have taken upon themselves to create a knockoff of the pickup truck. The mid-range Cybertruck costs around US$50,000, whereas the top-range version costs around US$69,000. Now, you can get hold of a faux Cybertruck for only 666,666 rubles (US$10,800).
While the copycat means you won’t be left with a hole through your wallet, there are some things you’ll have to be mindful of, like safety—because its side doors don’t work. You’ll have to hop in and out from the top. Good luck at emergency exits.
The YouTubers transformed a Russian LADA hatchback into a Cybertruck lookalike. However, it’s a lot less like the stylish sleek electric car as it is made with spray-painted metal for its exterior.
Nevertheless, it takes a lot to pull off the Cybertruck wannabe vehicle, and the YouTubers have shared their journey in a 43-minute video. Watch it below, and skip to the 40-minute mark to see the truck hit the road.
