Elon Musk hinted that Teslas will soon be able to communicate with pedestrians on the streets.
The revelation was made in a video posted on Twitter, which sees a Model 3 riding past people and announcing, “Well, don’t just stand there. Hop in!”
The Tesla boss tweeted, “Teslas will soon talk to people if you want. This is real.” That is pretty much a green light at talking Tesla cars in the near future.
Although there are no further details about the new feature, Musk confirmed that it will be compatible with Tesla’s fart mode and ‘Sentry’ anti-theft mode.
“And, of course, your car will be able to [fart emoji] in their general direction,” Musk tweeted, referencing a common French taunt that was famously used in Monty Pythons Holy Grail.
One user joked, “When the Tesla needs charging, can it say ‘I‘m hungry?’” Others were curious about the voice for the feature. “What ideal voice would a Tesla have?” one user tweeted.
