Amid tensions in the political climate, Balenciaga unveiled a series of posters inspired by election candidates for its summer campaign, which bears optimistic slogans that hopefuls could very well use.
The fashion house’s campaign,
We Vote For Tomorrow, features a diverse range of models posing against a blue-toned backdrop with their most professional faces on.
Emblazoned across the posters are several slogans like, “Love Is For Everyone”, “Power of Dreams” and “Think Big,” promising a better future for all.
A “BLCG” logo on the top right adds a pop of red to the artworks.
To add on to the concept, Balenciaga’s Twitter account transformed to mimic a political theme, and even
ran polls to showcase the new campaign photos of the model candidates. One of the tweets read, “Balenciaga Summer 20[20], 16 candidates. 5 daily rounds. Final results on Saturday.”
On the fashion front, the menswear styles are dominated by button-ups, track pants, blazers, feather-blade earrings, and denim jackets. For womenswear, the models sported prosthetic cheekbones in velvet gowns, shoulder-padded formal dresses, and bold colored-tops.
