Viral Video Of Italians Singing To Rihanna Song Is Fake, Truth Is Even Funnier

A video portraying a whole Italian neighborhood singing to Rihanna’s Bitch Better Have My Money has been debunked.
The clip depicts Italians singing to the song from their balconies after Italy announced a lockdown and citizens were asked to be self-quarantined in their homes.
The video racked up over eight million views, but it has been proven to be fake as the “audio was dubbed on top from another source,” Mashable reported.
Mashable wrote that the authenticity of the clip could be further disproved by the American accents in the video, coupled with the likelihood of everyone knowing every word to the track being greater at Rihanna’s concerts.
Isolated Italians, though, are still having a lot of fun. One video shows that people in Turin are, in truth, dancing to the Macarena in their balconies, complete with booty-shaking.
