Medical workers are standing on the front lines against the coronavirus outbreak. Dove’s latest ad campaign presents portraits of these professionals at their rawest state with red bruises and indentations from wearing masks and protective gears for hours.

Conceived by ad agency Oglivy in Canada, Dove Canada’s 50-second Courage spot showcases the weary faces of brave healthcare workers who are sacrificing their lives to fight the pandemic.

The marks on the faces strike a resemblance to battle scars, as they have spent crucial hours in emergency rooms and hospital wards attending to swarming patients affected by the virus.

In the video, one thing is clear, and that is “courage is beautiful.”

Along with the campaign, Dove promises to donate care products to healthcare staff in Canada as a form of gratitude for their hard work.
