IKEA Singapore has donated 800 mugs to migrant workers working in the country after learning that they have been drinking milk directly from cartons.
A photo that recently surfaced online shows foreign workers drinking straight from boxes as they didn’t have any mugs. A volunteer from a non-profit organization, It’s Raining Raincoats, came forward to reach out to donors and before they knew it, IKEA came on board and donated 800 mugs to the foreign workers.
It’s Raining Raincoats detailed this heartwarming story on its Facebook page, thanking the furniture company for the donation.
IKEA additionally delivered cartons of snacks to the migrant workers, so they now have something to munch on while being able to take a sip from swanky drinkware.
Got milk? Yes. Got mugs? No!
