‘Spot’, the robot dog from Boston Dynamics that has been likened to the ones in Black Mirror’s Metalhead episode, was deployed to stroll along a park in Singapore to remind patrons about practicing safe distancing to contain the spread of the coronavirus in the nation.

The bright yellow cyborg dog was seen along the pathways of Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, broadcasting a message that declared, “For your own safety and for those around you, please stand at least one meter apart. Thank you.”

‘Spot’ will be seen in the city-state’s public parks until 22 May 2020 to ensure people are paying attention to social distancing regulations. According to Gizmodo, Singapore will also release drones to monitor the population density outdoors.
