Trump campaign is selling ‘#YouAintBlack’ t-shirts following the controversial comments made by former vice president Joe Biden.
The t-shirts, which are retailing for US$30, were unveiled on the Trump campaign’s website hours after Biden made the comment on Charlamagne Tha God’s radio show The Breakfast Club.
In the product description, the Trump campaign explained that the t-shirts were created so people would always be reminded of Biden’s comment. “Joe Biden actually told Black American they ‘ain’t black’ if they support Donald Trump,” the description reads. “Sport this short and make sure no one forgets the words #YouAintBlack.”
People were angered when the merchandise hit online, especially when it has a terrible messaging on it. “A bunch of white people at a MAGA rally wearing ‘you ain’t black’ t-shirts is not going to send the message they were thinking of when they printed those shirts,” one Twitter user wrote.
“Well I tell you what, if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black,” Biden uttered those words on the show. He has since apologized for his comments, saying that he “shouldn’t have been such a wise guy.”
