Kaepernick Has Been Kneeling For George Floyd All This Time, Gripping Pic Shows

Around the world, people are mourning the loss of George Floyd, an innocent Minnesota black man who was ruthlessly killed by a white cop who had handcuffed him and knelt on his neck. The tragedy has propelled fighters for the Black Lives Matter movement to prominently stand up for racial equality once again.
The incident also brings to mind the famous stance of American football quarterback Colin Kaepernick, who was known to kneel during the US national anthem to protest against racial injustice and police brutality.
On the other side of the coin, Derek Chauvin, the police officer charged for the murder and manslaughter of Floyd, knelt to attack the man, illustrating the very oppressions Kaepernick has been fighting against.
The stark contrast has been brought to light by LeBron James, who recently took to social media to share side-by-side comparisons of both Kaepernick and the cop kneeling for two drastically different reasons.
“This… is why,” the text written on the image reads.
“Do you understand now?” James captioned his now-viral post. “Or is it still blurred to you?”
Kaepernick himself released a statement in the wake of Floyd’s unfortunate death. “When civility leads to death, revolting is the only logical reaction,” he tweeted. “The cries for peace will rain down, and when they do, they will land on deaf ears because your violence has brought resistance. We have the right to fight back! Rest in Power, George Floyd.”
