Jay-Z Takes Out Full-Page Newspaper Ads In Honor Of George Floyd

Rapper Jay-Z has teamed up with families who have lost their loved ones to racial injustice, along with activists and attorneys, to buy out full-page ads on multiple newspapers in the US to honor George Floyd.
Jay-Z’s activist group Team Roc commemorated Floyd by filling full-page ads in the Tuesday edition of several newspapers, including The New York Times, The Denver Post, The Chicago Tribune, The Los Angeles Times, and The Philadelphia Inquirer.
The advert was captioned as, “In dedication to George Floyd. #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd.” It also included an emotional passage from a speech made by Dr Martin Luther King Jr. back in 1965.
The letter was signed by Jay-Z, the parents of African-American men Botham Jean, DJ Henry, and Antwon Rose II—who lost their lives by the hands of unscrupulous police officers—as well as Van Jones, Charlamagne tha God, Angela Rye—attorney for the Floyd family—and other activists from groups such as The Innocence Project and Until Freedom.
Floyd lost his life under the custody of Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin last week, which led to protests and furor across the nation to rally for the end of racial injustice.
