Internet Users Wish Obama On Trump’s Birthday With ‘#AllBirthdaysMatter’ Posts

Internet users bombarded Twitter with birthday wishes for Barack Obama on President Donald Trump’s birthday along with the hashtag, “#AllBirthdaysMatter.”
On Saturday, the day Trump turned 74, Twitter users decided to celebrate Obama’s birthday months ahead instead to echo the sentiment, “All Birthdays Matter.” The phrase is a reference to the highly-criticized “All Lives Matter” saying, which is often used to disregard the support for Black rights.
Many sang praises to Obama on Trump’s birthday, which ended up with several phrases trending on Twitter. Some of them included, “Obama Day June 14th,” “Obama Appreciation Day,” “Obama Day USA,” “Happy Birthday Obama,” as well as, “All Birthdays Matter.”
Actor George Takei joined in and wrote, “I’d say happy birthday to Donald on his special day, but after all, #AllBirthdaysMatter.”
Other Twitter users took the opportunity to honor the lives of Black people who were killed due to racial injustice in the nation, such as George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Tamir Rice.
One user shared photos of those who have passed on with the caption, “You don’t get to enjoy them anymore, so today we celebrate you #AllBirthdaysMatter.”
