No thanks to COVID-19, many people have been left gasping for a vacation.

To help you quench that wanderlust, IKEA Dubai has come up with a crafty solution so you can finally transport outside your four walls to your favorite destination.

Dubbed ‘Vacations in a Box’, these kits come with various IKEA products, including pillows, tableware, candles, and artwork inspired by different destinations such as Paris, Maldives and Tokyo. The boxes were designed with the help of advertising agency Memac Ogilvy Dubai.

The kits also come with songs and recipe suggestions to help customers recreate the vacation experience.



“Right now, many people are unable to put a tick mark on the dream destination they had planned for this year,” said Carla Klumpenaar, general manager of marketing, communications and interior design at IKEA UAE. “With our ‘Vacations in a Box’, it’s easy for people to experience a French-style candlelit dinner or sip green tea while kneeling on cushions inspired by Tokyo.”
