Instagram has released a new feature for tidbit video clips called ‘Reels’, and yes, it’s a lot like TikTok, just like how its Stories tool mirrors Snapchat.
Users are able to record and edit 15-second videos by adding music, stickers, and filter effects. They can also speed up or slow down snippets of a clip, or stitch them together to form a more extended series.
These clips can be shared on the Instagram feed, and there is also a dedicated section on Instagram’s Explore page, where you can browse through other videos showcasing “the best of trending culture on Instagram.”
Reels is being rolled out in over 50 countries today, including the US, the UK, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, and Brazil.
All week we’re sharing tips on how to make reels with different features. 💫
