As foods that hit right in the childhood feels, it’s little wonder that everyone has a personal attachment to breakfast cereals and, by association, their packaging.
And while your inner child might recall one particular look for your favorite cereal, these boxes have been redesigned significantly over the years. There’s a lot to unpack here, so in this exclusive with DesignTAXI, Best SEO Companies has summed up how much the branding and mascots of some of America’s favorite cereal brands have evolved through the years in GIFs.
In its recent study of 1,000 Americans where cereal brand names were omitted, the search engine optimization help platform also learned that respondents were most familiar with Fred Flinstone and Barney Rubble (Fruity Pebbles), Cap’n Horatio Magellan Crunch (Cap’n Crunch), Tony the Tiger (Frosted Flakes), Snap, Krackle, and Pop (Rice Krispies), and Lucky the Leprechaun (Lucky Charms).
As for their favorite cereal mascots, participants seemed to have the most sugar rush from Tony the Tiger (Frosted Flakes), Buzz the Bee (Honey Nut Cheerios), Cap’n Horatio Magellan Crunch (Cap’n Crunch), Fred Flinstones and Barney Rubble (Fruity Pebbles), and Lucky the Leprechaun (Lucky Charms).
