IKEA has released scans of its annual catalogs from the 1950s to 2021 on its online museum for users to browse through the trends of Scandinavian design over the years.
From retro graphics to modern minimalist outlays, the website shows how advertising and design trends have evolved in 72 years.
The IKEA Museum was launched back in June 2016 at what was once the first department store in Sweden. The museum runs permanent and temporary exhibitions to present the roots of the Swedish company.
Since traveling is not the best option right now amid the pandemic, you can experience the history of IKEA in the past 72 years through these catalogs instead.
