Earlier this year, fans of DC comics learned that the Robert Pattinson-starring The Batman was scheduled for release in 2021. However, the film’s production was initially halted due to the coronavirus pandemic and then postponed again when Pattinson reportedly tested positive for the virus.
Now, Warner Bros. Studios has announced that the movie will be delayed to 2022 after multiple disruptions.
To offer a little optimism, the studio has moved The Matrix 4’s release by four months, so there is still something to look forward to in 2021.
The fourth installment of The Matrix franchise will hit theaters in December 2021, with Keanu Reeves reprising his iconic role as Neo. The sci-fi flick is written and directed by Lana Wachowski, the original co-director of the trilogy.
Warner Bros. also revealed the timeline for its other upcoming films like Dune, which is set for 1 October 2021 release.. Meanwhile, The Flash is scheduled to be out on 4 November 2022 and Shazam! 2 has been primed for debut on 2 June 2023.
