In commemoration of its 10th anniversary, Instagram is rolling out new updates including a new ‘Stories Map’ feature, custom app icons, and well-being tools.
Firstly, Instagram will be introducing a private ‘Stories Map’ feature which will allow users to look back at their fond memories over the last three years based on the location and date.
Instagram will also give users the freedom to redesign its app icons with a selection of colors, including orange, yellow, purple, black, and white. There is also a rainbow Pride design, as well as multiple versions of the nostalgic Instagram icons from the past.
In terms of wellbeing, Instagram has been advocating a safe space that is positive for all. So, it will be expanding its nudge warnings feature to include an additional warning for people who have repeatedly attempted to post offensive remarks.
Instagram has already integrated its AI-powered feature that informs users when they try to leave comments that may be considered offensive. An updated version will include an additional suggestion asking them to reflect on their comments.
