Mattel has unveiled a Barbie doll of activist Susan B. Anthony on the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which doubled down on American women’s right to vote.
Anthony spent her life fighting for suffrage, and was arrested in 1872 for voting in protest of gender discrimination. By the 1880s, the activist became a political powerhouse that fought for women and labor rights.
Now, the toymaker celebrates women who vote through the dedicated doll. The new addition is part of its Barbie Inspiring Women Series featuring notable women in history like Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Jean King, and Rosa Parks.
The Susan B. Anthony Barbie is now available for preorder on Mattel.com.
