Forget physical bricks. LEGO has teamed up with cross-platform game engine Unity to let you build virtual worlds with a new ‘Microgame’ tool.
The platform allows you to create your own short 3D game without the hassle or knowledge of coding. ‘Microgame’ comes with a series of tutorials in the Unity Editor to teach you everything you need to know to develop your own game.
It is also equipped with LEGO’s ‘Behavior Bricks’ with built-in gameplay actions, as well as mini-figure characters.
You can further personalize your experience by adding Creative Mods or Asset Store themes to unlock more features as you play with your project. You can also earn a ‘Knight’s Kingdom’ pack when you share your game, or qualify for a ‘Danger Zone’ when you attend a Game Jam on 19 November 2020.
If you’re really committed to perfecting your game, you can even import custom creations via the online LEGO marketplace to make it uniquely yours. Get started here.
