Aldi UK has released its 2020 Christmas ad, and it features Kevin the Carrot—or not.
The ad brings back the lovable Turkey and Santa Claus. Unfortunately, Kevin has gone missing.
In the spot, Kevin and Turkey can be seen flying through the sky as Kevin chimes, “Brace yourself Turkey!” They fly through the mountains, where they take a photo with Santa.
Unfortunately, things get out of hand as Turkey says he’s “roasting” and decides to open a window. Turkey accidentally presses the eject button and Kevin gets shot out of the cockpit.
“Noooo, Turkey,” Kevin exclaims. He screams for help before parachuting down to an unfamiliar sight. The ad concludes with the hashtag, ‘#WhereIsKevin’.
The campaign has amassed multiple comments from social media users, with many sharing their concerns about Kevin’s whereabouts. “I think you guys have won the Christmas advert battle with this,” a user tweets. “This is absolutely brilliant, had a good laugh!,” another user praises.
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s both. And there’s a carrot in the cockpit. #WhereIsKevin pic.twitter.com/AzsDqCEYTw
