The world may never agree on how a dog wears pants, but it can at least confirm how one looks when it carries a bag.
Thanks to Hong Kong-based Lex & Beans, pooches can now go on walks with their own backpacks. The functional miniature carriers are designed for comfort based on the canine anatomy, and took several tests and prototypes to ensure proper ergonomics.
The adorable backpacks—available in three eye-popping colors that, sadly, only hoomans can enjoy—feature breathable mesh padding and a chest harness clip to sit comfortably on the backs of dogs. The shoulder straps are proportionally longer to accommodate to their horizontal spines, as well as adjustable to fit different breeds.
Now for the big question: what can dogs carry, specifically? Glad you asked. Each backpack arrives with a front pocket to store poop bags for emergencies, along with a main compartment for snacks, toys, and—just in case—more poop bags.
The literal doggy bags are currently on Kickstarter mode and have just surpassed their crowdfunding goal. Find out more about the project here.
