With the new iOS 14.3, Apple has not only boosted iPhones with advanced photography techniques but also made the experience of using custom home screen icons much better.
This update is especially exciting, as previously, if you wished to use personalized app icons, you weren’t really changing the app’s icon but rather creating a shortcut to the app, with the Shortcuts app as a gateway.
The issue with this method is that when you tapped on the shortcut you created, it would first launch the Shortcuts app before opening the desired client.
With iOS 14.3, custom icons created through the Shortcuts app will launch your desired app straight away, instead of opening the Shortcuts app first.
Home Screen icon customization just got a whole lot better with iOS 14.3!

I’ll take the quick banner message over launching Shortcuts app before launching intended app 🙏🙏🙏
