Evian has revealed its latest water bottle designed by Virgil Abloh.
Abloh, who is also Evian’s creative advisor for sustainable innovation design, gave the new interpretation a hammered effect as a nod to its previous life and the plastic used to create it to highlight its recycled nature.
The Evian bottle features a body that is created from 100-percent recycled PET, and is also 100-percent recyclable.
Speaking about the project, Abloh said he wanted the design to show how it has been reinvented with old bottles while remaining synonymous with the Evian brand.
“My new hammer motif reflects how this new design has been reconstructed from waste materials, which in itself was a whole new challenge, and a new steop in my partnership with Evian,” he explained. “It is now more important than ever to practice sustainability; I believe we all have the power to challenge the status quo and to change our future for the better.”
The latest Evian water bottle is due for release in March 2021, and will be available to purchase at selected locations, including Curator Hotels and Resorts.
