There’s no free lunch in this world, unless you’re a sneaky lifehacker who has scored a great deal.
One burger restaurant in Toronto, Good Fortune Burger, had social media users feeling thoroughly amused with a promotion that encouraged customers to expense their meals to their jobs… by disguising its menu items as office supplies.
The ‘Receats’ menu, available on UberEats for a limited time, replaced menu item names like Fortune Burger and Classic Fries with ‘Basic Steel Stapler’, ‘Braided HDMI Cable’, ‘Mini Dry Erase Whiteboard’, ‘Non-Slip Rubber Mouse Pad’, and ‘8GB Flash Drive’.
Order details would then be printed on a receipt, under the name, “Good Fortune Office Supplies.”
Unfortunately, sly employees hoping to get rewarded for buying a $10 stapler won’t be entitled to that anymore, as the campaign ended on March 5.
