While you usually can’t sit your pet at the dinner table to have a proper dinner together, cat food brand Fancy Feast is making it easier to bond over mealtime. You can now share mealtimes with your cat as you prepare meals inspired by its favorite dishes – in a human version just for you.
Fancy Feast has released a cookbook for humans to accompany its brand-new Petites line of single-serve cat entrées, so Mimi can feel included during dinner time. The 12 recipes featured in Petite Feast: A Cookbook were created by Amanda Hassner, Fancy Feast’s in-house chef, together with James Beard Award nominee Jerrelle Guy, and “actor turned baker” Josh Snyder.
Featuring chicken, salmon, and whitefish, these dishes complement your cat’s Fancy Feast entrée options so you can have an elevated version of what they’re having. “Each dish was inspired by the small-plate restaurant trend. The recipes are for humans but were created in honor of the dishes you will be serving your cat,” said Hassner, as per Food & Wine.

Each recipe in the cookbook is color-coded so you’ll know which Petites meal (for your cat) it is meant to accompany. While there are 12 recipes for owners, the Fancy Feast Petites only come in three flavors: Seared Salmon Entrée with Spinach in Gravy, Ocean Whitefish Entrée with Tomato in Gravy, and Grilled Chicken Entrée with Rice in Gravy.
Although your feline friend may not have as much variety, you know it’s getting the good stuff. These entrées are made without artificial colors or preservatives and are 100% complete and balanced nutrition for adult cats.
