Apple Rolls Out Vibrant Watch Accessories With More Colors From Pride Rainbow

To commemorate the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT), Apple has unveiled an exclusive Apple Watch Pride Edition band and watch face.
This year, the Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop incorporates a broader set of colors than the usual Pride rainbow, inspired by the multiple flags that represent the diverse LGBTQ+ community.
The new design pays homage to inclusivity and equity – core goals of the LGBTQ+ movement – and acknowledges that diverse and multi-racial activists have been part of the movement from the very start.
The black and brown colors weaved together in the band represent Black and Latinx communities, as well as those who have passed away from or are living with HIV/AIDS.
The light blue, pink, and white represent transgender and non-binary individuals. Customers can choose from 12 different lengths of the Braided Solo Loop for the perfect fit.
Alongside the special watch band is also an exclusive Pride watch face. The watch face mirrors the colors used to weave the band, to continue Apple’s homage to the combined strength of the LGBTQ+ community.
When users rotate the Digital Crown, the ‘threads’ on the watch face will scroll infinitely, and will also animate with a raise of the wrist.
And for the first time, Apple has included a new App Clip functionality within the band packaging, to allow customers immediate access to the matching watch face.
For those who don their Apple Watch during workouts, there’s also a new Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop option. It showcases the original six colors of the rainbow flag, with reflective yarn for increased visibility when working out at night. This design also comes with its own matching Nike watch face.
The Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop is available for US$99, with the Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop retailing for US$49. Both bands can be purchased online, and will be stocked at Apple Store locations from May 25.
