LEGO Unveils Life-Size Lamborghini Set Illuminated To Life With 400,000 Elements

Following the launch of the 1:8 scale LEGO Technic Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 last year, the LEGO Group has just unveiled a life-size replica of the supercar, built from over 400,000 components.
Featuring 154 different types of LEGO elements, the life-size model embodies the futuristic aesthetic of the Sián FKP 37, down to its most minute details.
The frame of the model is covered with a fabric of bespoke LEGO Technic elements, interconnected to form an energy-charged shell.
Even the Lamborghini’s lighting components have been expertly replicated in the model, with electrical technicians from LEGO ensuring all the lights and flashes along the body reflect the real car’s epsilon headlights and hexagonal taillights.
The interior of the model is created with the same level of detail, with the steering wheel carrying the famed automaker’s logo, complete with LEGO-built dashboard controls and racing seats.
Lamborghini’s official paint shop lent its hand to painting the model, with a picture-perfect paintbrush-effect UV color to ensure the model’s longevity. Its stunning hue is certainly befitting of one of the world’s most iconic sports cars.
This incredible life-size model replica took over 15 people and 8,660 hours of time to create, ensuring it mirrors the dimensions of the real car down to the millimeter.
“Our designers love a challenge, so you can imagine their delight when we tasked them to think slightly larger than normal with this model,” said Lena Dixen, Senior Vice-President of Product and Marketing at the LEGO Group. “The creativity that [LEGO Technic] allows meant it was possible to really do justice to the exceptional design of the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37.”
