Apple Brings Its ‘Today At Apple’ Creativity Workshops To YouTube For Free

Beginning in 2017, all of Apple’s retail stores worldwide had started offering ‘Today At Apple’ sessions – free workshops where users can learn how to get the most of out their devices. Last year, the pandemic resulted in most of the tutorials being moved online, though still in private sessions via video call.
Now, the tech giant is making its Today At Apple tutorials available for the public on YouTube. The first session has already been uploaded, and will teach you how to draw yourself as a Peanut character, using Pages. The tutorial is led by Krista Porter, a storyboard artist who worked on The Snoopy Show.
According to Engadget, host Mark Evestaff also makes an appearance in the video to inform users about one of the company’s newest offerings: Apple TV+. While not much can be garnered from just the first episode, it does appear that Apple will be using its public tutorials to advertise other services and devices as well.
While being able to view Today At Apple sessions from home is convenient, it doesn’t give users the ability to workshop their ideas, or ask instructors for help on a confusing point. For the best experience, an in-person workshop at an Apple store still takes precedence, with the YouTube videos acting more as a quick supplement if you’re already familiar with the program.
Apple said it will be uploading more Today At Apple sessions to YouTube in the near future, though it didn’t specify which topics will be covered in the upcoming tutorials.
