Last year, LG launched its high-tech
battery-operated face mask, combining H13 HEPA filters with dual fans and a respiratory sensor.
Now, the brand has announced an update to the LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier, adding a mic and speakers to amplify a wearer’s voice.
The brand-new VoiceON technology “automatically recognizes when users are talking and amplifies their voice through the built-in speaker,” explained LG.
However, while the face covering uses replaceable air filters and fans to purify the air a wearer is breathing, it does not claim to protect against the COVID-19 virus.
According to The Hill, while the price of the upgraded LG PuriCare Wearable Air Purifier has yet to be announced, the company says it will launch first in Thailand this August, before rolling out to other markets.
