Earlier this year, Disney gave fans a first look at its Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser rooms, part of a Star Wars-themed hotel.
Guests will have an immersive experience with a two-night itinerary, including lightsaber training, sabacc lessons, bridge training, and more.
Now, we’ve found out more about the cruise, and how much it costs. When guests board the Halcyon, they’ll feel as if they’re flying to space, with the “windows” aboard the ship looking out to views of space.
They will then begin their Star Wars adventures, with characters from the franchise appearing throughout the cruise and engaging guests in storylines. The trip also includes a visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Sounds amazing? Well, here comes the less thrilling part: the price. Sample prices for the standard cabins for weeknights start at US$4,809 for two guests, US$5,299 for three, and US$5,999 for a family of four. There are also Galaxy class suites and grand captain suites available at higher price points.
According to Nerdist, each package includes a two-night stay in a cabin or suite, ongoing interactive entertainment with Star Wars characters, a themed itinerary, food and beverages (excluding alcoholic drinks), and admission to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
It does sound like a hefty fee for a cruise, but if you’re a huge Star Wars fan who’d love to role-play as a character in real life, this is the closest you’ll get to a galaxy far, far away.
