Toronto rapper Drake has finally confirmed the release date for his long-awaited Certified Lover Boy album, and although fans are excited, its cover art has become a hot topic on social media.
The album cover features three rows of pregnant women in emojis. Drake also tagged famed conceptual artist Damien Hirst in his Instagram reveal. According to Complex, the cover art is a painting by Hirst for Drake.
The colorful aspect of the artwork is reminiscent of Hirst’s previous paintings, which feature vibrant spots. A report by Hyperallergic also posits that it could be a reference to the various sculptures of pregnant women the artist has created.
As expected, due to how strange the cover looks, users on social media did not hold back on what they thought of the concept art.
