A little more hands-on than an online tutorial and far less intensive than an all-day outdoor shoot, Photography Simulator is an upcoming video game that’s exactly as its name suggests.
Like professional photographers, you’ll select which gear to carry with you; travel; scout locations; adjust camera settings; snap photos; and sell your images to magazines, earning enough to upgrade your photography equipment, including drone cameras.
More specifically, the game focuses on wildlife and nature photography. Plus, with the way the outside world is right now, this mental escape to nature might be all we need right now.
A photo’s price is based on its quality score—which leads to the “least realistic” part of the game, PetaPixel notes, for a woodlands photo in a trailer is seen selling for $3,425 in the trailer.
The game, developed by Madnetic Games and distributed by publisher PlayWay, has been listed on Steam, though launch details haven’t been specified yet.
