As part of its event on Tuesday night, Amazon revealed a full kit to rival Apple’s Fitness+ and other similar services.
Along with the Halo View activity tracker, Amazon has also unveiled the Halo Fitness and Halo Nutrition programs to match, promising to keep its users in shape.
The new View tracker boasts an AMOLED color display for easy viewing of health metrics, and is capable of tracking activity, sleep scores, blood oxygen levels, and live workouts, among others.
Three sport band colors see it available for preorder in Sage Green, Lavender Dream, and Active Black. But of course, there are alternative band options for accessorizing.

Halo Fitness is an exercise-based app that offers up to “hundreds of exclusive, studio-quality workouts” based on all levels of fitness. The “immersive” workouts include things like cardio, strength, yoga, outdoor, and mobility classes. Content is said to be updated regularly.
During exercise, users will be able to see their stats in real-time as an on-screen display overlay when integrating with Halo View or Halo Band, so the focus never leaves the workout.

Halo Nutrition, Fitness’ counterpart, competes with similar food calculating and meal prep apps already on the market. Fully customizable meal plans and recipe discovery ensure that users will build “healthy eating habits they can sustain.” This can be personalized to exclude allergies and fit around individual requirements such as vegan and keto-friendly diets.
Of course, integration with Amazon means that when recipes are curated, the required ingredients can be added to the user’s Alexa shopping list for a swift checkout, no last-minute grocery runs required.

Halo Fitness is scheduled to be available through the accompanying Halo app later this year, but Nutrition will only be here in January 2022.
Access to both of these will cost US$80 as an annual subscription to Halo, but the Halo View will come bundled with a year’s membership and is expected to begin shipping in time for the holidays (and those New Year’s resolutions).
