We all know of gaming chairs; there are plenty on the market that do a great job. But that requires the user to—shock, horror—sit. And sometimes, on one of those days, this aforementioned user might just want to lie down and lose themselves in the world of the video game.
So there is a gap in the market, and that has now been filled by none other than the Gaming Mattress.
Bauhutte is a Japanese brand specializing in furniture for gamers, giving its customers the comfiest experience possible to beat previous in-game records.
Among its groundbreaking inventions previously reported sit a blanket to keep those fingers warm while slaying enemies, and a whole bed to encompass your RGB-illuminated setup.
Because, well, it’s 2021, who needs to even go outside anymore?
So, this new mattress—it’s a step up from the blanket for sure, but perhaps less commitment than installing the bed. And it’s not only for gaming; you can actually sleep on it too.
Installed on its own, it looks fit for a regular bed. But of course, there’s the option to fit it into the Gaming Bed for the ultimate gamer sleep-game-repeat setup.

According to Bauhutte’s website, the mattress is made of high-resilience urethane and measures 8cm (3.1 inches) thick. It’s not exactly the plushest make around, but it gets the job done.
Slits in the material allow for optimal weight distribution, the company writes, as it matches the structure of the human body when lying down. So this might provide the good night’s rest that the thickness may not.
