Google is beginning to give away free Premiere Edition kits for its game streaming service, Stadia, with every purchase of a full-price Stadia game at US$60 or above. In this kit, usually priced at US$80, a Chromecast Ultra and a white Stadia controller are included.
The offer is valid for players located in the US, UK, Ireland, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Austria, and Switzerland.
It’s perhaps (definitely) a sign that Stadia needs more players to save it from disappearing off the face of the earth completely. It doesn’t seem to be doing too well, and hasn’t driven conventional gaming systems out the window just yet, although that has been feared before.
Additionally, it was reported earlier this year that Google had shut its internal Stadia studios down, an event followed by the departure of product head John Justice from the brand a few months after.
The promotion runs until October 10, and redemption codes will be sent out by October 20 to be used up within a month’s time. For more information, Stadia’s website is linked here.
