This November 15 will mark two whole decades since Microsoft released the first-ever original Xbox console, disrupting the gaming industry and paving the way for the revolutionary additions of today.
Still going strong against the test of time, the Xbox deserves a great birthday celebration. So, Microsoft is releasing a few accessories in commemoration of the date, and all of them feature a translucent design reminiscent of the controllers shipped with the original Xbox debug kit.
Of course, if it’s a hark back to the controllers, then controllers must be a part of the lineup. These special edition ones are decked in the classic black and green palette with its internal components highlighted in silver, making them easier to see.

It’s a throwback to “when the first green X burst through a black field,” Microsoft states. “The iconic, green Xbox button, D-pad highlights, and back grips celebrate the beginning while looking forward.”
Apart from its aesthetics, the functions—Bluetooth support for PC and mobile, button mapping—are largely the same as other wireless Xbox controllers except for an improved D-pad.

Available to pre-order now, the 20th Anniversary Special Edition controller is priced at US$69.99 apiece and is expected to be available starting November 16.
