As the release date for the new Halo Infinite game draws near, the anticipation is palpable. Riding this high is toymaker Hasbro, which has just revealed a distinctively Halo weapon in the form of its well-loved Nerf guns at this year’s Hasbro PulseCon.
In the Halo game franchise, the Needler is a standout weapon no thanks to its unmistakably hot pink spikes. The large purple gun is based on the game’s Covenant faction and touts a unique “alien” shape as well as its ammo spikes.
Unfortunately (or not), the Nerf iteration of this weapon does not launch the spikes when fired. Instead, it utilizes the signature 10-dart blaster for its foam bullets.
Other than that, though, it’s a stunning replica, thanks to a collaboration between the toymaker and the team behind Halo at 343 Industries. While maintaining the iconic look of the Needler, it’s still reassuringly able to fit into the user’s hand.

Its iconic status in the game and among fans have seen Nerf produce a smaller version of the Needler before, but this admittedly doesn’t live up to the lifelike version that the company has just revealed.
The new Needler will be powered via six AAA batteries, which will provide fun light effects in addition to the usual firing mechanism. Each of the needles will light up when the handle is gripped, and the seams of the weapon will also have a white glow.
All the aesthetically-pleasing visuals will also be able to be used as a display when the Needler isn’t being used in “combat.” Each of the guns will come with a display stand, which allows for it to be propped up and the lighting to be admired in Display Mode.

Packaged in a limited-edition Halo box, which can be showcased next to the prized weapon, the Needler will also come with a game card for users to unlock exclusive in-game content with their purchase.
