Burger King Makes Adorable ‘Candy’ Out Of Whoppers For Trick-Or-Treating

Instead of a surprise center of caramel, Burger King’s fun-sized treats are filled with beef, onions, tomatoes, and lettuce.
For Halloween, the fast-food chain in Puerto Rico has made Whopper Jrs even tinier to become seasonal Mini Whopper Jrs, wrapped into little flame-grilled ‘candies’ for trick-or-treaters who may not necessarily have a sweet tooth. The delightful activation comes from advertising agency de la cruz | Ogilvy.

Only 300 of the candy-shaped burgers will be handed out per participating restaurant, to be ordered via the Burger King app. Just make sure to devour these one-bite treats as soon as you can—Moldy Whoppers are a horror story for another Halloween altogether.
“Halloween has always been synonymous with costumes, fantasy, sweets and treats… The Mini Whopper Jr will be a big surprise for those who prefer a non-sweet treat, of their favorite flavor,” described Daniel Pérez, Burger King Puerto Rico’s vice president of marketing, in a statement.
