Back in August, a barely-seen painting by Jean-Michel Basquiat featured in a Tiffany & Co campaign alongside the brand’s new ambassadors, Beyoncé and Jay Z.
Notably, the artwork, Equals Pi, spotlighted the famed Tiffany Blue hue, though the advertisement received backlash from some of the artist’s compatriots who said it wasn’t “what Jean was about.”
Nevertheless, the company is continuing with its superstar-fronted campaign and will be releasing a Christmas advent calendar of 24 pieces of jewelry, packaged in a miniature iteration of Basquiat’s Equals Pi.

As per Highsnobiety, the four-foot-tall calendar is crafted from white oak, filled with 24 Tiffany Blue boxes that are specially curated to the recipient’s tastes. According to Gotham Mag, the advent calendar will retail for a staggering US$150,000, though, of course, such a high-end price tag allows the gift to be fully customized to each individual’s gifting needs.
Plus, leaning into the spirit of giving, Tiffany & Co has said it will be donating US$250,000 from the calendar purchases to programs bringing creative arts to children in underserved neighborhoods.
An appointment is needed to purchase the advent calendar.
