“Oh, I have to go. The board of directors, my clients, and investors need me.”
Is this you? If not, a fun new Busy Simulator (BS for short) lets you mimic that life for the sole purpose of getting out of a meeting. Zoom burnouts are real, so creative director and technologist Brian Moore dreamed up this web app that lets you “feign importance” and interrupts your calls with repeating app notification sounds.
The tool is similar to this Zoom Escaper one that disrupts meetings with sounds of construction, a baby crying, and a weeping man. Only this time, you’ll probably get brownie points for appearing so needed by others instead of being an annoyance.
Also, by acting busy, you might actually get more work done.
With sliders assigned to each app, you control how “busy” you are on Skype, Slack, Microsoft Teams and more. Try it here.
