Teeny-Tiny Home Casts The Spotlight On Its Surroundings
By Mikelle Leow, 22 Dec 2021
What looks to be one of the rooms in a dollhouse could actually be your home, and honestly, one can’t get mad at it. The ultra-compact dwelling with a chic asymmetrical roof packs all the trimmings of an entire house into one little space; it takes only a couple of steps to travel from your desk to the kitchen, or the great outdoors.
Called ‘Luna’, the house—designed by tiny home retailer New Frontier Design and constructed by Liberation Tiny Homes—is positioned as a “budget” option with prices starting from US$95,000. Although it measures just 25 ft and spans 256 sqft of space, the house is able to sleep two on a king-sized bed, on top of offering ample storage, a spacious shower area, and more.
The bedroom is located at the loft, accessible via a staircase that smartly doubles as shelving.
The lack of space is compensated by the glass floor-to-ceiling windows that make the view one of its best features, as noted by New Atlas. Natural light seeps into the living room, which offers just enough legroom for a sofa, reading nook, and table.
The kitchen features a two-burner propane-powered stove, a refrigerator, a sink, cabinetry, a toaster oven/microwave, and a washer/dryer.
Meanwhile, the bathroom includes the essentials of a toilet, a shower, a vanity sink, and additional storage.
Living on the grid never looked this cozy.
