After it was announced that the Boss Beauties digital asset collection would be the first non-fungible tokens displayed at the United Nations, it has also been revealed that it will be making its grand debut on March 8 in honor of International Women’s Day.
To commemorate this, Boss Beauties will be creating a new, limited-edition 1/1 collection titled Boss Beauty Role Models. This is said to “spotlight some of the most innovative women throughout history, as well as modern women who are breaking glass ceilings today.”
Currently, the Boss Beauties collection is listed on NFT marketplace OpenSea with a floor price—a minimum “Buy Now” price—of 2.3 ETH, which is approximately US$7,090.
The collection comprises 10,000 tokens, and at the time of writing, there are around 5,400 owners.
The women of today who are depicted in the Role Models collection will receive a stylized portrait of themselves, thus creating a new network to empower women worldwide, per a news release.
Meanwhile, the Historic Boss Beauty Role Models will be sold via charity auction on March 7, with proceeds going towards the Boss Beauties Scholarship Fund for Women and Girls.
“The unveiling of Boss Beauty Role Models at the United Nations is a historical moment that we are incredibly proud of,” says Lisa Mayer, Founder and CEO of Boss Beauties.
“Having a collection with such a strong and inspiring message be the first NFT art collection to display at the United Nations is truly monumental. Most importantly, it resembles our larger mission to empower Women and Girls at the forefront of technology, leadership and creativity.”
