Tiffany & Co is adding a pop of robin-egg blue to the basketball court with a new basketball.
Ahead of NBA All-Star Weekend, the jeweler has joined teams with contemporary artist Daniel Arsham to design the limited-edition basketball. The two have been bouncing ideas off each other, pardon the pun, for some months—Arsham first collaborated with the brand in September 2021, when he produced a “broken, decaying… and perfect” version of the iconic Tiffany & Co gift box. He also happens to be the creative director of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The basketball sports a co-branded Tiffany & Co and Arsham Studio logo, aside from the iconic Wilson wordmark. Notably, the ball comes embossed with a pattern of Arsham’s ‘A’ monogram with Cavaliers’ insignia.
Not to mention, it will be packaged in that famous Tiffany box.
The collaborative piece is a nod at the luxury company’s 160-year history of producing sports trophies.
The limited-edition piece will be sold for US$575 at a Tiffany & Co x Arsham Studio Half Court popup, hosted by the Cavaliers, opening on February 18 in the StockX Factory at the May, where visitors can shoot some hoops and peer at the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy that Tiffany & Co designed for the 2016 NBA Finals. Fans will also be able to nab one at Tiffany & Co’s Woodmere, Ohio, location.
