Waltz into the real-life landscape of Mario and Luigi when Universal Studios Hollywood opens its doors to Super Nintendo World in 2023, just two years after it first launched in Japan.
According to the LA Times, the theme park will include a featured ride, interactive play area resembling a scene from the Super Mario video games, and themed shopping and dining hangouts.
The site is slated to be part of an expansion situated in the lower lot of the park.
Engadget notes that in Japan, the original theme park offers a life-sized Mario Kart ride, as well as a slower-paced attraction on Yoshi’s island.
While it’s unclear if similar concepts will be coming to Universal Studios Hollywood, there’s no doubt the attractions will feature gamified experiences and loads of colorful animations.
