Not many royals last seven decades on the throne. And with Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II celebrating her Platinum Jubilee as the longest-serving monarch of the kingdom, Mattel has decided to mark the special occasion by bestowing the queen with her very own Barbie doll.
Dressed in one of the queen’s signature looks—sash and coiffed hair included—the Tribute Collection Barbie doll of Queen Elizabeth II spares no expense on ensuring Her Majesty is memorialized at her best.
According to Harper’s Bazaar, the set comes with details we’d usually miss, including the queen’s Order of the Garter, and a silver star adorning the blue sash that represents the country’s most senior order of chivalry.
Mattel told the magazine the design team took time to capture all of the most intricate details, basing the doll’s tiara on Queen Mary’s Fringe Tiara, and the medallions and ribbons on the Royal Family Orders.
Even Her Majesty’s dress wasn’t copied from an outfit, but a specially-created gown inspired by the style and color of dress she’s worn in royal portraits over the years, hence the signature white and ivory look.
The doll’s packaging wows as well, with the Queen standing in front of a Buckingham Palace-inspired throne room to add to the entire toy’s regality.
Of course, it also comes with a doll stand so you can display your very own Queen Elizabeth II proudly at home.
